Every church must evangelize or fossilize.
Our mission field is not merely across the sea; it is across the street. It is our vision at Living Hope to share the explicit Gospel within our community and the city of Charlotte. To accomplish our vision, Living Hope must be actively engaging the community and city through our WITNESS and WORK.
Reaching our Neighbors through our Witness
Goal: It is our goal at Living Hope to provide motivation and the momentum to reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
A "Big Day" is an all-out push toward a single Sunday for the purpose of reaching as many people as possible for Jesus. Big Days provide the means to grow current members at Living Hope and the momentum needed to reach others in the community. Throughout the calendar year, Living Hope will plan both a “Big Day” for the spring and the fall.
Reaching our Neighbors through our Work
Goal: We desire to aid and engage SEVEN ministry partners within the City of Charlotte. It is imperative that we serve alongside other ministries for the cause of Jesus Christ.
Pregnancy Resource Center
Along with our monthly support ($125 per month), the Living Hope family will recognize the third Sunday of January as “Sanctity of Life Sunday.” To support our ministry partner, Living Hope will promote a baby shower during the month of January. All collected items will be donated to the PRC.
Metrolina Baptist Association
The MBA is a partnership of over 100 churches that are committed to reaching Charlotte with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The MBA also provides support to area pastors through training, fellowship and prayer groups.
The Living Hope family will help Samaritan’s Feet at least one time per year sort shoes at the local distribution center. This ministry is focused on providing shoes for children world-wide.
Charlotte Rescue Mission
Our Living Hope family would like to help this ministry in two ways. First, by providing a meal for the “REBOUND” program during the summer and secondly, our goal is to provide music and a chapel speaker at least twice per year.
Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina
One of the most important ministries of the Baptist State Convention of NC is the BCH. They are a wonderful ministry with the passion to reach at risk and troubled children. The Living Hope family will support this ministry through an annual offering in November.
Operation Christmas Child
At Living Hope, we love the vision of Operation Christmas Child. It is a wonderful way to share the love of Christ with children all over the world. Our goal during the month of November is to collect a 100 shoe boxes and serve once a year at the Charlotte Processing Center.
The Telugu Ministry meets once a month and is specifically focused on reaching those who speak the Telugu dialect with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Living Hope has partnered with the Telugu Ministry by providing them a place to hold their meetings. It is our goal that through this ministry people of the Telugu dialect will come to know Christ and always feel welcome in our Church family.
The last words of Jesus were "go make disciples of all nations."
Missions is not just for missionaries; God's call is for all. At Living Hope, our desire is to support and pray for our global mission partners. Not only do we desire to support our missionaries, our goal is to give our congregation the opportunity to experience short-term mission trips.
We consistently support our mission partners with the Southern Baptist Convention. However, Living Hope is also committed to supporting other missionaries from Gospel-centered organizations. Currently, Living Hope is supporting missionaries in Asia and South America.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
It is our desire to support the International Mission Board. The IMB currently has 5,500 missionaries serving Christ world-wide. In order to fund the Great Commission, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is a vital part to support global missions. Living Hope will actively support and promote the Lottie Moon offering annually.
Short-term Missions Opportunities
Each year, it is our goal to send out a team (nationally or globally) to help support a missions partner. Our objective is to give both students and adults opportunities to serve within a foreign context. In recent years, we have sent teams to New Mexico, Brazil & Costa Rica.
